Pender Islands Attractions
Mount Norman Regional Park, which encompasses the northwest corner of South Pender Island, features hiking trails through old-growth forest to wilderness beaches and ridge-top vistas. Access to trails is just across the Pender Island bridge.
The extensive network of roads makes these islands good destinations for cyclists. Rentals are available at Otter Bay Marina, 2311 McKinnon Rd. (tel. 250/629-3579), where you'll also find Mouat Point Kayaks (tel. 250/629-6939). If beachcombing or sunning are more your style, try Hamilton Beach on the east side of North Pender, or Medicine Beach and the beaches along Beaumont Marine Park, both of which flank Bedwell Harbour.
