Even a pizza seems like a meal fit for a medieval courtier in this softly lit, stone-walled, and brick-vaulted 14th-century cantina in a hidden courtyard around the corner from Piazza Maggiore. The excellent Umbrian fare befits the distinctively Old Perugia surroundings, with such hearty choices as homemade tagliatelle with duck ragù or wild boar sauce and locally sourced beef from the Val di Chiana topped with black truffles. And yes, they do serve pizzas, making this the most elegant pizzeria in town.
