This simple countryside restaurant lies 3km (1 3/4 miles) west of Piazza Armerina, en route to the famous mosaics, and it serves some of the tastiest homemade Sicilian dishes in the area. Begin with delectable pennette pasta with rich cream, fresh tomatoes, and mushrooms. Most plates are reasonably priced, except the copious meat platter of grilled specialties -- for those battling tape worms only.
