Playa de Jaco Shopping
Jacó has multiple shops selling T-shirts, cut-rate souvenirs, and handmade jewelry and trinkets. Most of the offerings are of pretty poor quality. At the high end Jacó Walk Shopping Center you’ll find a variety of multinational luxury shops.
Playa de Jaco Nightlife
Jacó is the central Pacific’s party town, with tons of bars and several discos. One standout is the Holy Moly! Disco Club at Croc’s Casino Resort, which features DJs from around the world. This place gets hopping around 11:30pm.
The Orange Pub is another place folks go to dance; it has live music, as well as pool and foosball tables. Le Loft, on the main street near the center of town across from Los Amigos, attracts a more sophisticated and chic clubbing crowd
For beer, there’s the Beer House, just south of the river, a dive bar with the best craft beer selection in Jacó, and Puddlefish, brewery with a tasting room and food trucks, across the street from Miros Mountain.
Sports freaks can catch the latest games at Clarita’s Beach Bar & Grill, on the beach toward the north end of town.
If you’re into casino games, head to Croc’s Casino Resort, which has a Las Vegas–style casino and the Liquidity Casino Bar.
Note: Jacó has a lot of legal prostitution, and it’s not uncommon to find working women at any of the bars around town. That’s not necessarily a knock against the bar.
