In Potrero, there is Perlas ★★ (http://perlas.pub; tel. 2654-4500), a simple concrete slab building with a corrugated zinc roof and mostly open walls that has been nicely decorated. Located on a dusty corner, this is a very typical Costa Rican–style cantina, but it draws a good mixed crowd of locals, expats, and tourists alike.
