Hotel Rías Bajas

Built in the late 1960s when Pontevedra was a busy business center, the Rías Bajas has switched gears to cater to leisure travelers who come to see the quaint stone buildings and narrow streets of the Old Quarter. Although the hotel is on a bustling street corner, it is less than a 5-minute walk from the historic area. The decor of the public areas features lots of stone and paneled wood, and it is frequently used as a backdrop for political press conferences. The guest rooms are simpler and more traditional. They tend to be small (although some triples are available), but all feature a usable work desk.
