Calling itself a “restaurant marisquería,” Casa Román signals that the menu is really all about the shellfish. Oven-roasted scallops are particularly popular, but the kitchen focuses on crustaceans. Several dishes use the European lobster (somewhat smaller than its American cousin). Depending on what’s on display on ice, you can also enjoy the big meaty crabs found all over the rocks along the rías (excellent roasted in the oven), steamed Norway lobster (what the Italians call langostinos), and several species of shrimp and prawns. The restaurant is in the new section of town, Praza de Galicia.
