An old Prato institution that’s been serving almost a century specializes in no-nonsense food at affordable prices and has two locations, one near the Duomo and one on a small lane on the south edge of the old town. Both are homey and as unfussy as the food, hung with black-and-white photos,. Nothing on the menu at either is going to surprise, and that’s the point: tortellini in brodo (filled pasta in clear broth), osso buco (braised veal shank), salsicce alla griglia (grilled sausage), and all the other classics are here, served to an appreciative crowd of locals at extremely good-value prices.
