Clark’s Sunny Isle Motel
A couple of miles east of downtown, Sunny Isle is one of those surprisingly swell little properties, a motel in a nice setting with well-kept grounds and gardens, and rooms that, though small, are very well cared for, all at reasonable rates. Many rooms have been renovated. Rooms in back look out over the gardens; rooms in front have private decks. Across parklike lawns on an 8-hectare (20-acre) property, there’s a cedar gazebo among large shade trees and a trail to the beach beyond.
