Staying at an all-inclusive property makes sense in the Riviera Maya, especially if you don’t have a car. Distances between resorts and the nearest towns are significant and taxi rates high. Not all such properties are the same, however. This aptly named grand property wows guests with award-winning restaurants, an outstanding spa, and suites worthy of a world-class hotel. Suites in the Grand Class section, for adults and teens only, and have hot tubs, plunge pools, and stunning ocean views.  Family suites in the Ambassador section are located near the kids’ and teen’s clubs and the main pool; those in the Zen Jungle Section are a five-minute walk away from the beach and near the spa and meeting areas. Though you lose out on the sea views here, the jungle setting adds a sense of peaceful seclusion. Sleek marble floors, dark wood furnishings, and cream-colored walls all create an air of uncluttered sophistication. The spa’s elaborate hydrotherapy area’s jets, bubbles, pounding waterspouts, and waterfalls enhance superb treatments and you can easily spend a full morning here. The restaurants have garnered numerous prestigious accolades—at no time do you feel like you’re eating typical all-inclusive fare.
