Restaurants in Puerto Morelos
The Puerto Morelos restaurant scene undergoes major churn during low season every year, but the one thing you can count on is a greater number and variety of good restaurants than you’d expect of a small town. Enduring favorites around the main square include Doña Triny’s for Mexican and Yucatecan standards; Los Pelícanos for seafood; and Le Café d’Amancia for coffee, pastries, and smoothies. New restaurants worth a try (not reviewed here because they haven’t had a chance to hit their stride) include Chicken Itza and My Little Italy, both just off the plaza on Rojo Gómez south of Posada el Moro, and La Sirena on the north side of the plaza.
