Hotel Zoe
This pleasant seaside hotel (now also called the Zoe Resort Hotel), was renovated in 2011. It's on a wonderful beach about 5km (3 miles) north of Pylos and is popular with Greek and German families. If you're traveling with children, the chance to begin and end a day of sightseeing with a swim might be the salvation of a family vacation. (There's also a pool, which is good for children on days when the sea is a bit rough.) The guest rooms and apartments are good sized, nicely furnished in pastels and muted browns and grays; the beds are terrific, the reading lamps are excellent, and the place is ferociously clean. The in-house restaurant serves lots of organic veggies from the Zoe's own garden. Ask about long-term rates.
