At the foot of the mighty Dachstein massif, which reaches a height of nearly 3,050m (10,006 ft.), Ramsau is an emerging ski resort, rivaling but not yet surpassing Schladming. Ramsau is completely devoted to skiing in winter and, to a lesser extent, trekking and climbing in summer. Trails are clearly marked with white-and-green signs. The prices here are, in general, lower than at Schladming.
