Frommer's Staff

Lying on the Rapperswil Peninsula on Lake Zurich, this early 13th-century castle is perched atop a hill, dominating the town. Deer roam the grounds around the castle. Since 1870, the castle has been home to the Polish National Museum created by Polish émigrés. You can see mementos of everybody from Copernicus to Chopin, even from Kosciuszko.
