Musée des Beaux-Arts

This fine arts museum has a remarkable collection that stretches from the 15th to 20th centuries. On the ground floor are decorative arts from Art Nouveau to Art Deco, while upstairs highlights include a charming collection of animal portraits by Jacques-Raymond Brascassat (1804-67), some fine works by well-known artists from the beginnings of modern art, and the largest collection in Europe of Franco-Japanese painter and printmaker Léonard Foujita (1886-1968); the museum ticket also gives entry to the chapel Foujita built in 1966 in the gardens of Mumm champagne house.

Please note that the museum was undergoing renovations as we went to press, so do check to see that it has reopened before heading over.
