Garður's folk museum has a cafeteria, and Sandgerði has two restaurants. In Grindavík, Cactus, Hafnargata 6, where it dead-ends past Ægisgata (tel. 426-9999; Sun-Thurs 6pm-1am; Fri-Sat 6pm-3am), also known as Lukku Láki, is an eclectically designed restaurant and sports bar with main courses in the 750kr to 2,000kr ($12-$32/£6-£16) range. Salthúsið, Stamphólsvegur 2 (tel. 426-9700; Mon-Fri 5-9pm; Sat-Sun 11:30am-9pm), is a bit more upscale and specializes in bacalao, the Spanish take on salted cod.
