Planning a trip to Rocamadour
Getting There — The best way to reach Rocamadour is by car. From Bordeaux, travel east along A89 autoroute to Brive-la-Gaillarde, then take the A20 to exit 54 toward Gramat. Then continue on D840 and take the D673 south to Rocamadour.
Rocamadour and neighboring Padirac share a train station, Gare de Rocamadour-Padirac, that isn’t really convenient to either—it’s 4km (2.5 miles) east of Rocamadour on N140. Trains arrive three times a day from Brive in the north and six times a day from Capdenac in the south; for transport from the station, your only option is to call a taxi (phone numbers posted at the station). For train information and schedules, visit sncf-connect.com or call tel. 36-35.
Visitor Information — The tourist office is found on rue Roland-le-Preux (tel. 05-65-33-62-59).
