Baños Arabes
Off to the left as you climb Calle Armiñán, near the town’s two old bridges (Puente Viejo and Puente de San Miguel), Ronda’s 13th-century Arab baths are among the best preserved in Spain. Inside, the structure is wonderfully intact, with barrel vaults, octagonal brick columns, and star-shaped skylights. In the style of Roman baths, they include cold, warm, and hot rooms, through which bathers would rotate several times. A 5-minute animated film gives an interesting explanation of the mechanism used to deliver and heat the water.
