In July 2013, this "Stroke of Luck" was started by renowned Salzburg foodies Klaus and Petra Fleischhacker, along with their son and daughter. There are 40 seats in the chic interior (as well as a questionably orange bar), and another 40 in the charming courtyard, where guests are surrounded by plenty of trees and ivy growing up the walls. The restaurant boasts a to-die-for breakfast menu, served from 9am to 2pm, with mini, midi, and maxi variations of menus like "sweet and sticky" (two marmalades, blood orange panna cotta, waffles, and cheesecake crème), and "colorful and healthy" (fruit salad, warm muesli, parsley root soup, Bloody Mary salmon toast, and a tramezzino with cream cheese) to jump-start the day. In the evening the menu is smaller, offering soups, antipasti, and savory croissants and crepes. Service is charming and attentive, with all the warmth of a family-run establishment.
