Most of the hotels in San Gil’s center are hostels, though most do have private rooms as well as dorm beds. There are more upscale properties on the outskirts of town, though many non-budget travelers prefer to stay in Barichara, which has an all-around better atmosphere and is still close enough to San Gil to partake in activities.
