Named after Herman Hesse’s classic novel, “Steppenwolf,” this popular bohemian hangout is a top place to come for alternative music, poetry or theater, or to just to have a few drinks with friends. There’s a dedicated performance space upstairs, and the main room features walls made of blackboard material, with chalk provided for doodles, and tables made from old 55-gallon drums. The simple bar menu features some healthy and vegetarian options.
