The big attraction here is the junco handicrafts, though they are best found just outside of town. A few artisan shops and stands can be found on and near the square, such as Artesania Lencon (tel. 504/2643-2188). About 3km (1 3/4 miles) on a hilltop southeast of town is a small fort, Castillo Bográn, with great views of the city and surrounding hills and forests. You can walk up in under 2 hours; otherwise, you can hire a cab (L30) to take you there.
