There's no great dining scene in Santo Domingo. In many cases, your best bet will be your hotel restaurant. If you find yourself in the city and hungry, head to D'Marco (tel. 02/2751-099), on Calle Río Mulaute, near Calle Río Baba, or to Restaurante Timoneiro (tel. 02/2751-642), on Avenida Quito near Tsachila.
