While some actually claim to be environmentally conscious, the ones I spoke to were too busy guzzling resources and destroying natural ecologies to have even heard of the phrase "carbon footprint." The Hilton boasts the largest set of collection of swimming pools in the country and local water shortages go to prove it. The Kempinski, not to be outdone in wasting water, ensure that every one of their rooms have king-sized double bath on the balcony, not to mention its fleet of hideously ugly lime-green limousines. In addition, their unending staff requirements mean that the rest of the island is now almost devoid of English-speaking staff.
