McMenamins Sand Trap
This oceanside outpost of the McMenamins brewpub empire overlooks the oldest golf course in Oregon and melds a classic country-club atmosphere with the McMenamins’ Deadhead aesthetic. The menu sticks mostly to tried-and-true pub standards—burgers, pizzas, and fish and chips. However, since this is the beach, you can also get steamer clams, crab cakes, and cedar-plank roasted salmon. There are always half a dozen or more McMenamins beers on tap. The building also operates as a McMenamin’s hotel with 16 rooms (expanding in 2018 to 36 rooms), most of them overlooking the golf course.
