Hotels in Selous Game Reserve

The Selous is serviced by a growing number of camps, all of which are small and personalized, with a real bush atmosphere. In addition to the established places listed below, two new camps are currently scheduled to open in the far west of the reserve and should be worth a look. These are the 12-room Mivumo River Lodge (www.malalaluxurylodges.com), overlooking the Rufiji panhandle at the entrance to Stiegler's Gorge, and the luxurious 12-room Amara Selous (www.amara-tanzania.com), on the banks of the Great Ruaha before its confluence with the Rufiji.
