Wine Tasting in Solomons
Just north of Solomons are two tiny wineries with limited bottling and even more limited hours. Those interested in the winemaking process will enjoy tasting the wares and talking to the winemakers.
Solomons Island Winery, 515 Garner Lane, Lusby (tel. 410/394-1933; www.solomonsislandwinery.com), offers tastings Tuesday through Sunday noon to 5pm. From Route 4, turn left on Monticello Lane and left on Garner Lane; the winery will be on the right.
Cove Point Winery, 755 Cove Point Rd., Lusby (tel. 410/326-0949; www.covepointwinery.com), has tastings every Saturday and Sunday from noon to 5:30pm, or by appointment Monday to Friday. From Route 4, turn right on Cove Point Road.
