The Kenwood Inn
Built in 1865, The Kenwood Inn is the only remaining hotel structure of its size from St. Augustine’s Gilded Age. In St. Augustine’s most historic district, the Victorian-style inn boasts two living rooms, two dining rooms, and guest rooms and suites that are larger and more private than most other B&B accommodations in converted single-family homes. Some feature Jacuzzi tubs, and balconies with hammocks. Also unique to St. Augustine, the Kenwood has a large outdoor saltwater pool and spacious sunning patio with chaise lounges. There’s also a koi pond. A gourmet buffet breakfast features pastries, muffins, an assortment of cereals, fresh fruit, and parfaits plus hot entrees such as eggs Benedict, quiches, egg casseroles, waffles, and more. Bloody marys and champagne mimosas are offered on weekends. The nightly social includes wines and snacks, and guest pantry is stocked with iced-tea, lemonade, water, and coffee. Children are welcome, but a fee of $25 per child, per night pertains to kids 3 to 12.
