Water views here may be a dime a dozen, but fresh-shucked oysters—which aren’t that cheap—in these parts are not. In addition to the shucked-as-you-order oysters, Rusty’s serves up some serious seafood, from spicy seafood gumbo to a pot of steamed oysters, clams, shrimp, and crab legs, served with potatoes, and corn on the cob. Check out the cruise ships departing the port from a seat outside on the new deck where there’s a tiki bar and live entertainment. Sunsets are particularly stellar from here. Daily happy hour from 3 to 6pm offers two-for-one well drinks, and raw or steamed oysters and spicy Buffalo wings go for 90[ce] each. There are also daily early bird specials served at $12 from 11am to 6pm—shrimp scampi, sirloin steak, mahi, and more bring in the crowds during these hours. The place is completely kid-friendly as well—throwing in an ice cream sandwich with every kids’ meal. Rusty’s is salty, casual, and exactly what it should be. Nothing fancy, just good food, drinks, and even better views.
