This cute little Popsicle stand serves some of the most gourmet frozen treats you'll ever eat, from Mexican hot chocolate and datil strawberry, to mango habanero and pistachio rosewater pops. It's no coincidence that you have to say "hip" when mentioning The Hyppo. It's more than a passing fad, though, and much more than a pop shop. There are also gourmet sandwiches: Roast pork with fig preserves, Gorgonzola, and sprouts on sourdough bread, or perhaps The Elvis is more your speed, with crunchy peanut butter, local honey, fresh banana, and bacon on multigrain bread. The place is so popular that in addition to Charlotte Street there's also The Hyppo Hut on St. George Street and two other locations as well.
