A Real Housewife or two has sipped Champagne around the pool; the Bachelor has plotted his next conquest on the curvy terrace. Everyone, it seems, comes to this sun-splashed promontory above the sea in Pointe Milou for his or her 15 minutes of fame. That pool—the largest on the island—faces the turquoise Atlantic, and it's as sweepingly cinematic as any spot on St. Barts. This "lifestyle" hotel is a popular lodging as much for the pool, the views, and two very good restaurants (Mango and Taino) as for the small (322 sq. ft.) but ultra-stylish Ocean Classic doubles that offer everything you need at heart-healthy rates (including a seaside terrace)—rooms, in other words, that attract stylish and artsy non-billionaires. You can spend more, of course, on the spacious one-bedroom ocean suites, with rainforest showers and granite tubs, or the Panoramic Suite, with eye-popping views from a private terrace. Couples tend to be the main guests in the high season, but families flood the place the rest of the year. Even if you're not staying here, you can spend the day lolling about that celebrated pool and having lunch at Mango with a Christopher Day Pass (€80 per person; with spa treatment 140€).

Notice: The Hotel Christopher hotel will be closed from August 24th to to October 29th, 2015
