Back in the day, David Rockefeller built his famously futuristic "Jetsons"-style house overlooking beauteous Colombier beach. These days, you have to be at least a Russian zillionaire to plant a home in the lush Colombier hillsides, but regular folk can access the area by booking a stay at Le P'tit Morne. P'tit Morne is neither fancy nor elegant, but it's got a friendly, helpful staff and pleasant, comfortable guestrooms with king beds, fully equipped kitchens, and breeze-filled terraces offering Rockefeller-worthy views of Colombier and a necklace of small islands. Seriously, the views from each of the 15 apartments in this low-key hotel are that good. You can hike to the beach from the hotel along a steep path.
