About our rating systemThis small, all-inclusive beachfront resort offers a winning combination of old-fashioned charm and pampering attention to detail. Set in a lush garden of fantastical tropical flora (overseen by a crack garden staff), East Winds is that warm, welcoming place that guests return to year after year. They come for the beachside pleasures (Hobie Cats, kayaks, paddleboats), the ultra-relaxing ambiance, and the fresh and delicious all-inclusive meals—including a nightly four-course dinner set to a musical duet of waves lapping and Steinway tinkling. They come for the comfortably appointed rooms, many in gingerbread cottages and all outfitted with solid wood furnishings, stone showers, and garden or sea views from shaded private patios. They come to hear the sounds of tropical birdsong and stroll the lovely sweep of beach. Note that children 12 and under are not permitted except for specific holiday periods.
