The French West Indies' one and only genuine nudist resort, Club Orient is nearing its 40th year in business. As such, much of the clientele is older, family-oriented, and generally quiet—just folks looking for a relaxing tropical getaway in the buff. Naturists (nudists) from all over the world come to stay in the oceanfront or garden bungalows, none more than 100 yards from beautiful Orient Bay. (Note that topless sunbathing is an everyday occurrence on most beaches in French St. Martin, but Club Orient goes for the full monty.) Ranging from studios to villas to suites to full chalets, the homey bungalows are simply but comfortably furnished. Every unit comes with a fully equipped kitchen, outdoor shower, and front and back patios with picnic table—but no television.

You won’t miss it, what with all the water sports—from sea kayaking to snorkeling to paddle boating—and land activities, such as tennis, basketball, and ping-pong. You can even sign up for an all-inclusive nude cruise via Tiko Tiko cruises. Dine au naturel with fellow naturists in the on-premises restaurant, Papagayo, which serves an international menu. Or cook in your own kitchen; La Boutique, the on-site general store, has a fully stocked supermarket that also sells liquor and sundries. The resort is closed Aug 20–Oct 6.
