If you're looking for just the right al fresco spot to dine in the Marigot marina, one that's full of brasserie charm and Creole color—and has delicious food to match—head straight to Tropicana. The chefs here operate at a higher level than practically anywhere else in Marigot. Try to snag a table on the terrace, where the views of the harbor and gently bobbing sailboats are lovely day or night. Tropicana nails bistro classics such as chicken cordon bleu and escargots in puff pastry, but seafood is a specialty—try the silky sole meunière. Desserts are no-holds-barred architectural wonders, designed with sugary flourishes and definitely built to be shared.  Reservations are recommended.
