The Library
Located on the campus of the Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital in the downtown area, this restaurant was inspired by the George Peabody Library in Baltimore (original home town of Johns Hopkins) so it has bookshelves groaning with tomes, wingbacked armchairs, and portraits of dignified folks from the late 19th century or so. The folks behind Tampa’s fab Oxford Exchange, are in charge of the kitchen, so meals are expertly prepared and nicely inventive like the black garlic Caesar salad with cured egg yolk; or salmon with a charred scallion gnocchi with rainbow chard and apricot mostarda.
