St-Remy-de-Provence Attractions
St-Rémy’s pale stone Old Town is utterly charming. Scattered among its pedestrianized streets are 18th-century private mansions, art galleries, medieval church towers (like St. Martin: the interior is pictured above), bubbling fountains, and Nostradamus’s birth home. Note that St-Rémy’s two major sites lie around 1km (0.6 miles) south of the town center.

St-Remy-de-Provence Shopping
St-Rémy is a decorator’s paradise, with many antiques shops and fabric stores on the narrow streets of the Old Town and surrounding boulevards. Broc de Saint Ouen, route d’Avignon (tel. 04-90-92-28-90), is a 6,000-sq.-m (64,583-sq.-ft.) space selling everything from architectural salvage to vintage furniture. The town’s famous Provençal market is held Wednesday mornings.
St-Remy-de-Provence Nightlife
Live music bar Le Rex, 17 pl. de la République (tel. 06-82-11-61-08), hosts a fabulous selection of Provence wines, many of them organic. It is open Thursday to Saturday from 6pm until 1am.
