Tiki 52, 18487 SE Dixie Hwy., Tequesta (tel. 561/744-9113), is a hidden gem on the Intracoastal, with live music, happy hours, and delicious blackened shrimp. Nearby is family-owned Blue Point Bar & Grill, 18701 Federal Hwy., Tequesta (tel. 561/406-6270), featuring 270 degrees of the Intracoastal vistas, live music daily, Adirondack chairs, a family friendly pool, and yep, freshly shucked Blue Pointe oysters.

In Stuart, the Stuart Boathouse, 49 SW Seminole St. (tel. 772/266-4586), serves sushi, seafood, and stellar views of the St. Lucie River on which it sits. With 1,000 feet of docking space, Sailor’s Return, 625 SW Anchorage Way, (tel. 772/872-7250) lives up to its name, a favorite amongst captains of yachts, sailboats and dinghies alike, known for live music, seafood and the popular Wednesday lobster nights—two cold water tails, veggies, and potatoes for $49.95.

Literally situated under the bridge on the river in downtown Stuart, Hudson’s on the River, 351 SW Flagler Ave., (tel. 772/266-8061), has spectacular views, sushi bowls & a lively tiki bar.
