There are a number of good antiques stores in Sullivan County; pick up a copy of the "Antiques Trail Map," available at many hotels and restaurants, as well as antiques shops. Among the best are Ferndale Marketplace Antiques & Gardens, 52 Ferndale Rd., Ferndale (tel. 845/292-8701), a very large, 120-year-old country general store with seven dealers; Antiques of Callicoon, 26 Upper Main St., Callicoon (tel. 845/887-5918), in a 19th-century building across from the train station; Artisans Gallery, 110 Mill St., Liberty (tel. 845/295-9278); Memories, Route 17 Quickway, Parksville (tel. 845/292-4270), a massive gallery between Livingston Manor and Liberty; Town & Country Antiques, 1 N. Main St., Liberty (tel. 845/292-1363), distinguished by its fabulous storefront; and Hamilton's Antique Shoppe, Route 55/Main Street, Neversink (tel. 845/985-2671). Roscoe has a number of cute shops (in addition to all the fishing gear and tackle stores), including Annie's Place, Stewart Avenue, Roscoe (tel. 607/498-4139), with contemporary country gifts; and the perfectly named The Fisherman's Wife, Stewart Avenue, Roscoe (tel. 607/498-6055), a purveyor of antiques and collectibles.

Narrowsburg has a nice art gallery, River Gallery, Main Street (tel. 845/252-3230), showing contemporary artists and photographers, while its Delaware Arts Alliance, 37 Main St. (tel. 845/252-7576), shows local artists.
