Flower and Jade Market
Open only on weekends, this indoor, under-the-highway market sells far more than its name suggests. You'll see kittens and puppies, all sorts of herbs, flea market-style clothing, and geegaws such as wooden animal sculptures you scrape with a stick to produce mellifluous sounds. And of course there's jewelry and plants in abundance. The latter can't be brought home (because of customs regulations) but is nevertheless impressive—dazzling orchids, trees (tiny flowering bonsais to full-grown, 12-foot beauties), and an entire watery section of lily pads and other floating plants.
