Guanghua Computer Market
A five-story, block-wide, all-electronics mall for all of the newest gadgets in all their gaudy glory. These range from ear buds (I counted more than 40 varieties in one store) to sleek laptops and tablets to prosaic items that have a touch of whimsy (such as power strips in all colors of the rainbow). The size of the mall and its jaw-dropping variety make it as much a sightseeing stop as a place to shop. Happily for Americans and Canadians, anything bought here can be used at home since the Taiwanese use the same types of outlets and voltage as they do.
