Located an hour outside the city in the isolated seaside village of Kaberneeme, Oko is quite literally a hidden gem. Travelers who are willing to make the trek along Estonia's coast (by car or boat) will be rewarded with some of the freshest fish in Tallinn's metro area, caught in the water mere yards from the restaurant itself. Seafood features prominently on the menu, but Oko offers a few tasty alternatives like lamb kebap and black pudding for meat-eaters, as well as one or two vegetarian entrées. Designed to look like a beach house with wicker chairs and miniature sailboats, Oko's relaxed vibe is a refreshing break from city life. The building doubles as an inn for visitors who want to extend their day trip for a little more beach time.
