JW Marriott Tampa Water Street
Many stay here specifically for the hotel’s “Stay Well” guestrooms, designed to zap jetlag with circadian mood lighting, foil allergies with high tech air purification systems and non-toxic cleaning products, and soften skin with shower infusers that reduce the amount of chlorine in the water. If only they could cure the boredom created by these luxurious but seriously cookie cutter rooms. Ah well! Most won’t mind, thanks to guestrooms’ expansive views of the city and water. On the sixth floor are two pools, cabanas, a substantial spa and fitness area, and SiX, a modern American bistro with magnificent views. The hotel also has a steakhouse, and rooftop bar/restaurant on the 27th floor (the city’s highest). Connected to the JW via a third floor glass skybridge is the Tampa Marriott Water Street, an older property.
