Bucke

This vibrant Tel Aviv cafe, a stone's throw from Habima Theater, is renowned for food that’s reasonably priced and healthy,  with a strong emphasis on fresh vegetables. Vegetarians, vegans and carnivores alike rave about the fresh and beautifully spiced salads, leafy sandwiches, freshly squeezed juices, and house-made cookies. We’re fans of the indulgent burekas, a flaky Israeli pastry paired with tart labneh cheese, tomatoes, pickles and a hardboiled egg.  With mismatched chairs, a communal wooden tables and plenty of leafy greenery the vibe is laidback and oasis-like. Note: There’s a second, usually much quieter branch at 40 Yehuda Hamaccabi in the Old North neighborhood, and a third, called Hamaniya (or “Sunflower”) on 37 Basel St.
