Eats Cafeteria
Eats Cafeteria is located in a restored heritage building, known as Beit Hanna, or Hanna’s House, named after the feminist political leader Hanna Chizik, who in the 1930s and 1940s trained women to work as farmers in preparation for the establishment of the state. Today, the house is a cafe-gym-wellness complex that is especially convenient for mothers, who can take a yoga or pilates class and leave the babies with a babysitter downstairs. You’ll order at the counter, where you’ll be tempted by some of the tastiest homemade cookies and chalva and tahina chocolate brownies in town. It doesn’t take a workout to appreciate Eats’ colorful lunch box options, filled to the brim with salads like pistachio couscous or cabbage with Caesar dressing. Take a seat on the outdoor, palm tree-shaded patio, where lectures, movie screenings and other cultural events are often held after dark.
