Hotels in Temuco

There are seven campsites along the shore of Lago Conguillío; backcountry camping is not permitted. Campsites cost about $18 (£12). From October to April, the park has cabins that go for an average of $50 (£33) per night; information about rentals can be found inside the store next to the visitor center in Sector Truful-Truful. A great option is one of the wooden cabins at La Baita (tel. 45/416410; www.labaitaconguillio.cl), from $90 (£60) per night, located midway between Conaf and the town Melipeuco. Here you'll find a restaurant, a store, park information, and guided excursions such as hiking, alpine touring, and snowshoeing.
