Just west of the Gerrard Indian Bazaar, a clutch of hip cafes and restaurants has opened. Pinkerton was one of the first to bring Queen West cocktail culture to Gerrard East. Handsome bearded specimens man the bar at this raucous east end destination for Ontario ciders, craft beers, and creative cocktails. The Asian-influenced small plates, like a Korean chijimi pancake topped with braised pork shoulder, are rave-worthy.
