Essence Hotel by Don Paquito
Most guests probably don’t even care that this hotel is a block from the ocean at Playamar. Staying here is really about lying around on sunbeds as scantily clad as you’re comfortable, being rubbed all the right ways in the massage studio, kicking back in the heated outdoor whirlpool bath, or partying on the rooftop at the Sky Bar. You don’t so much see the Essence as you soak it in through your skin. It’s adults only and hugely popular with couples kindling or rekindling romance. Most rooms have a spacious balcony, some looking out to sea, others down on the pool.
