Kerry County Museum

Spanning several thousand years of history, up to the present day, this museum’s galleries cover Kerry’s ancient past; the coming of the Normans and the medieval period; the Famine years; and the struggle for independence. The high-tech audiovisual presentation includes a tour of the county using archival footage to show how it looked half a century ago. In the Knight’s Hall and Medieval Experience, you can wander around a recreated medieval town, with requisite sound effects, dressed-up mannequins, and the like. The museum is in the same building as the Tralee tourism office.
