They may be a mile apart, but these two sister resorts share more than just sugary Grace Bay beachfront. With their bright, roomy suites and fully appointed kitchens, the Ocean Club condo-hotel resorts are family-vacation favorites. Ocean Club East, opposite the Provo Golf Club, is the original and shares amenities with sister resort Ocean Club West (next door to the Grace Bay Club). A complimentary shuttle runs between the two, giving you double the choice of restaurants and activities.
Both resorts comprise sprawling landscaped gardens and courtyards dotted with pools, tennis courts, and a low-lying series of buildings containing suites of all sizes: studio suites, junior suites, one-, two-, or three-bedroom deluxe suites. (Only Ocean Club East offers studio deluxe and one-bedroom beachfront suites.) Many suites have gorgeous ocean views, and most have fully equipped kitchens (studios have kitchenettes only). Accommodations are spacious and homey, with rattan furnishings and balconies or large screened porches. The decor throughout is not ritzy, but comfy and pleasant. Family tip alert: All one-, two-, and three-bedroom suites can accommodate up to two additional guests. The Kids Clubhouse is a day camp for children 3[bf]1/2 and up from 9:30am to 1pm daily. Beachside watersports toys include kayaks, stand-up paddleboards, and snorkel equipment.
The resorts' beachfront restaurants, Cabana Bar & Grill (East) and Solana (West), enjoy Grace Bay sunsets. Fine-dining Opus is in Ocean Club Plaza, Ocean Club East.
